Every coach and trainer will start there clients out with the basics and exceed from there. He is an average trainer and does the same techniques as many others. I wouldnt pick up his books, a little research and asking on the net can get you the same basic information and then some.

Perhaps you should look at our Training and Nutrition forum it was jam packed with information for the average joe looking to get in shape to a fighter who wants to begin his road to glory in boxing.

Some of the things on the site are pretty unique, there's this one exercise where he gets a Barbell, bout 130lb goes outside with it,jams it into the corner of a wall and grabs the top of the bar, lets gravity take the bar down a bit then pushes forward towards the wall in a punching motion, rotating hands upon muscular fatigue..That's about it though, the Burpees and all that other **** are basically modified jumping jacks, however I use Burpees to this day.
