I felt bad for Jose, as soon as the bell rang and I saw how his co-ordination, balance and overall ability had deteriorated to the extent that he looked almost clumsy in there, I knew it was going to end before 6 or so. It was a very good stoppage, luckily he was not hurt too badly.Comment

There is some real dumb **** being said here about Castillo and others. I was profoundly saddened he quit like he did, but will never ever complain about being ripped off or short-changed by Jose Luis Castillo. I'd really like everyone to forget about the burn-out, and to remember the flame....Comment

Sad to see a warrior quit like that, but it's true that there was no point going on.
One of the hardest dudes to ever step in the ring. The fact that he gave so much in every fight is likely the reason he's completely shot at 36.
Thanks for the great fights, Jose!Comment

It's sad that Castillo isn't main event material anymore. It's even sadder that he went in before Soto. More so when he was paired off with the Contender guy. To top it off, he lost to Gomez.Comment

It's funny that Castillo didn't realize that he didn't have it anymore AFTER the fight and not BEFORE. I guess he was looking to have his purse of $50,000 deposit to his account before he announced his retirement, what a ****** liar.
A typical stinking undercard bearing the signature of the
"long nosed" promoter who is coming up with an even worse event when he throw in his ***ish brother with Cotto...if this was a stinker you haven't seen what is coming...Comment
