Honestly, Pacquiao is hitting so damn hard these days how is Mayweather going to hurt him let alone even contend with him in the strength department. If Mayweather decides to "go all defensive" he's going to have even less success since he probably can't even swell Pacquiao up.

Comparing Clottey's defense to Mayweather's is borderline absurd. IF Pac catches Floyd clean he can hurt him and put him away but Floyd is an entirely different animal defensively.

Dude, Clottey landed the str8 right hand at will. That is Floyd's best punch and he will throw it alot more than Clottey. Also, Clottey's defense frustrated Manny early on. He looked and seemed to be a bit confused as to how to land shots. Floyd's defense is a lot slicker and with all those punches Manny throws, he will open to get countered the whole fight. Mayweather outclasses Manny over 12 rounds.

I kind of agree with you. Yeah Floyd is gonna back up and wait for Manny. Yeah he's gonna counterpunch, but I just don't think Floyd can keep Manny at bay. The guys who had success against pac like Hussein, sanchez, first morales fight, and Marquez was to make pac fight backwards. You dont need to go war but have him respect your power and be active. Active can mean throwing alot of jabs with alot of movement and angles. In other words not be stationary and hold your gloves up and get hit all day like clottey did.

It wont be easy to get on a bike and try to potshot him all day if you think PBF plans to do that because even with good footwork a guy like pac will be able to cut off the ring and make you fight on occassions.
