I saw both fights...

Mercado knocked Hopkins down twice...though the second knockdown was questionable..

Hopkins had everything going against him...he fought in Mercado's territory with all of his fans for the title and suffered two knockdowns and still scored a draw...in the last few rounds he rocked Mercado several times and was beating him as one could see that Hopkins was adjusting...

the second fight, Hopkins learned everything he needed to learn and broke Mercado down hard and stopped him I think in the 7th round...

basically it was one long fight...Hopkins began to adjust, then continued what he began to do late in the first fight and did it in the second fight...

I agree that the 2nd KD was a bit questionable in their first fight. Hopkins came on strong in the end and it seemed to carry over into their 2nd fight. I thought the stoppage came in the 9th round tho

He was younger and more inexperienced there though. I mean Winkys chin is great too but he went down to a good fighter when he was younger. Maybe that has something to do with it or maybe i'm WAY off.
