Its absolutely correct to say that Floyd Mayweathers fans not only mirror their idols lack of class, but from what I have seen on this site, they exceed it.
These idiots call themselves boxing fans, but disrespect every other fighter except for Floyd(laughable when you consider that 99% of these pissants have never attended a fight, let alone boxed themselves). The only time you will hear them respect a fighter is when its Floyd's upcoming opponent,or afterwards when attempting to defend his record.
If a rival fights a vanquished former Floyd opponent, then Mayweather softened them up(hatton,DelaHoya, lol). If a wide consensus believe that another fighter is possibly better than Floyd, then the said fighter has only fought washed up opponents, journeymen or 'bums'(again laughable when you consider that the bums they refer to would smack the snot of these f.uckers blindfolded).
This seige mentality has actually contributed to the general distaste and public disregard for Floyd jnr, admittedly the guys own conduct and that of his team dont help, but Tyson for example was arguably worse in that regard and surrounded himself with even louder people than Floyd, yet he wasnt hated anywhere near as much.
Whether Floyd is good or bad for the sport is a matter of much debate, but one thing is for sure, and thats the sport could quite happily live without his classless, tacky and downright ****** band of disciples that troll these forums making the exactly the same threads here a hundred times a day,365 days a year.Comment

Well Clottey is more of a legacy fight than a money fight. He's not that big of a draw, but adds a solid name on anyone's resume.
Mayweather bashed Mosley for years about the steroid case. When asked about fighting him, Floyd would always bring up steroids or Mosley 5 losses. Mayweather only took this fight because it's the biggest money fight at the moment.
JMM not a legacy fight? Then why did Floyd fight him. Because Mayweather obviously knew the big money reward and little risk involved.Comment

I would completely ignore burner if I were you. He is a notorious Floyd nuthugger and a fat pompous racist who has an uneasy relationship with the truth.Well Clottey is more of a legacy fight than a money fight. He's not that big of a draw, but adds a solid name on anyone's resume.

90% of the people on here are like that. They are probably the biggest ******* in real life so they act all tough behind a keyboard.
I just wanted to prove a point. I am a big Pac fan, but I am a boxing fan first. I just call it like I see it.Comment

Guess what. He still took the fight and still will enhance his legacy. Its a win win situation.Well Clottey is more of a legacy fight than a money fight. He's not that big of a draw, but adds a solid name on anyone's resume.

Cant we say the same thing about Shane?
"Floyd is a Junior WW with no belt"
So why is Shane fighting in his words" the smaller man"?
Because hes getting paid.
JMM was a tune up after 21 months away. Thats the definition of "little risk involved".Comment

I agree with most of your post, but it is hard to argue against facts when Freddie Roach even came out and made statements claiming Oscar was badly dehydrated, Hatton never the same after Mayweather, and Cotto was never the same after Margarito. The article was dumb. Pac is the man right now and dominated 3 opponents many boxing experts and fans thought were too big and too good for Pac. When Pac made these victories look easy, people turned around and said his opponents were shot and weight drained or never good to begin with...
Pac did was he was supposed to do; which is win, but it is what it is.Comment

Didn't Floyd say he's was a great big man and Marquez is a great "little man". That the "little risk" involved. When Shane and Floyd fight, Mosley will be coming off a 16 month lay off and he's over 40. So don't give me that bs that Floyd was taking a risk fighting Marquez after a 21 month lay off. I don't see Mosley asking for a tune up.Guess what. He still took the fight and still will enhance his legacy. Its a win win situation.

Pac did his job, but I believe Roach was doing his job as well. No one knew how bad Oscar would dehydrate himself, but Roach did know he was already shot, but Cotto and Hatton are different stories. He wanted to get in the head of Pac's opponents the same way Floyd gets into opponent's heads. Floyd called Hatton a C-class fighter who fights bums and shot fighters, but do you think Floyd really believed that? The Hatton fight ended up being one of Floyd's best wins.I agree with most of your post, but it is hard to argue against facts when Freddie Roach even came out and made statements claiming Oscar was badly dehydrated, Hatton never the same after Mayweather, and Cotto was never the same after Margarito.

Roach does the same. Pac doesn't talk trash and probably couldn't do it well even if he tried lol. They're just mind games. If Roach actually believed Cotto and Hatton weren't good, what would he and his fighter have to prove
by beating subpar competition.Last edited by Swag Hustla; 03-13-2010, 04:57 PM.Comment
