I think this is martinez first fight against a real middleweight , But more in to that , The Middleweight Champion of the world , It will be a real tough fight for both champions of a world championship bout of a boxer vs puncher.

Martinez has been treated a lot worse than Pavlik has, and yet it's Pavlik boo hooing about everything not going his way and making up all kinds of excuses of why his stock is so low. I want to see Williams and Pavlik get it on down the line. But I can't support Pavlik in this match up and I want Martinez to beat him down.

Pavlik is good against guys that come straight ahead, but Martinez is a mover and a southpaw at that. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

I agree with you,and I believe this seems to be a tougher fight than a Pavlik/Williams fight based on styles (based on Sergio's foot movement),but I think Sergio will bring out the best in Pavlik that we have seen since his fight with Taylor.
If this fight was exclusively based on styles,I would say Sergio wins,but I kinda feel that Pavlik's punches will tear Sergio down in the later rounds.He hits MUCH harder than Williams.Sergio is no Hopkins and Kelly will not overlook him like he did with Bernard...I wouldn't write off Kelly this time,he knows his career counts on it and will be just as hungry as Martinez,just to get his career back on track..

Martinez has a better chance of beating Pavlik than Williams does, but I still see him getting knocked out in this fight. I hope I'm wrong, but I think he'll stop Martinez in 10.

shame on pavlik for avoiding the real challenge. martinez is like a 154 guy and cant wait to see serg win. pavlik ****ed up this time. martinez is no lockett. pavlk is a hillbilly shadebot---SM gots this. pavlik will be on espn2 before 2012.

Martinez has to be much more cautious in this fight. He can't let himself take as many flush shots, cause it won't be P. Will like power he will be feeling.
