      hiding from?

      1. the kid barely won his title a few months ago.

      2. few except hardcore fans even know who maidana is.

      3. he's about to fight a guy more well known by casual fans and ranked higher than maidana.

      4. everyone talks crap about khan's paper belt but talks crap because maidana is that paper belt's mandatory?

hardcore boxing fans sometimes are dumber than casual fans in some cases.

what makes it worse is they think they're smart and know it all too.

ducking is when you don't fight a top guy people want to see you fight for a couple years.

khan is fighting a better known , higher ranked opponent in a bigger event for more money.

that's not ducking. that's called not being ******.

khan gains nothing but could lose everything.

prospects you don't want to risk unless it's for big gain.

malignaggi is MORE MONEY , MORE EXPOSURE , BIGGER NAME , BIGGER EVENT plus it's less risky.

can't blame gbp considering khan is a newly signed , 23 yr. old prospect.

plus a decision loss to malignaggi is better than a ko loss to maidana no?
great post.....Maidana is too risky and not a bigger name then Malignaggi who is low-risk

what??? who exactly is maidana??? dude's got talent and an arm cannon but having victor ortiz as your biggest win doesnt exactly make you an instant qualifier for a world title shot right away.

khan is 23 years old and barely just won his title last year.

he is now fight another top 10 opponent in a few months after failing to get a fight with a top 5 p4p fighter in marquez.

yet he's ducking an unknown maidana who is best known for beating a prospect and LOSING TO A GUY KHAN BEAT FOR A TITLE.

            silly people. silly talk.

it's like the guys who say pacquiao "ducked" valero to fight barrera and marquez......

that and people act like mandatories are entitled to immediate title shots. Simply not the case at all.

                exactly.

tua was lewis mandatory for a couple years.

                was lewis ducking tua?

not really he was trying to get fights with tyson and he was fighting holyfield for bigger money.

                can't blame lewis.

ducking is when an opponent is the best fighter , best name and best money available and you still fight lesser fighters.

yep. Pacquiao was the mandatory for wbc 130lb belt in january 2006. didnt get a title shot until march 2008.

Sam Peter was a mandatory that kept getting bad treatment and step aside money for Vitali's speculated return.

Why is Khan catching flak for fighting Paulie? Paulie has the goods to beat him, has a decent resume, is a former titlist, is a top contender, and I pick him to UD Khan.

because he's fighting a more known fighter with a better resume for more money instead of maidana who is basically unknown , much less money and ranked lower than him.
