the only other opponent discussed was maidana and marquez.

maidana is high risk , low reward , low exposure.

marquez didn't want to fight khan.

khan gains nothing but could lose everything.

prospects you don't want to risk unless it's for big gain.

malignaggi is MORE MONEY , MORE EXPOSURE , BIGGER NAME , BIGGER EVENT plus it's less risky.

can't blame gbp considering khan is a newly signed , 23 yr. old prospect.
