What is done is done and he serves punishment by banning margarito for more than a year. What he did is horrible that he could kill person as a consequence, but then he did not kill a person after he was caught putting that plaster in his knuckles and this fact is what we should stand for. He did not kill a person, maybe almost.. yes but the reality still lingers that he did not kill a person, and we should get over it instead of putting his career into standstill! It's just that a waste of young talent in boxing!

A drunk driver who became reckless in his driving was caught by a police and he was just banned for a year plus cash penalty and after serving his penalty his driving license returned back to him. This driver because of intoxication can brutally kill a person yet he was just given him a ban from driving for a year. Some of us sometimes could inevitably avoid drinking with our friends and going home with our cars, and we could also petentailly kill a person as a consequence, but because we did not hit a person in the highway doesn't mean we are free to put all blames to margarito because he almost killed a person??? Hell! you're just hypocrites disguising as clean persons!!!

We need Margarito now under strict supervisons on his wrappings! To avoid this, all fighters should be supervised to the utmost on their wrappings to avoid possible scenario of what Margarito did!

What's the appropriate charge? Attempted murder? lol

This isn't Shane Mosley we are talking about here.Someone who did actually cheat and put anothers mans life at risk and got away without punishment.

Do you seriously beleive that Mosley using steroids, is actually worst than a guy using plaster in his gloves. The only reason that Margarito didn't get away with it was because he got caught, but had all the intentions to hurt Mosley (and who knows how many before Mosley) with plaster.

I'm against steroids, and what Mosley did should had received punishment also, but there's no way that you can compare the steroid issue with plaster in your gloves.

In my eyes, both actions deserve punishment.
If you use steroids you should be punish for 1 year, if caught again, then you should be banned for life.
If you use plaster or get caught trying to use, you should be banned for life.

What Luis Restos did, and the consequences of his actions should had teached us on what should not be tolerated in the sport. Harsh precedents need to be set in Boxing to persuade any boxer to obtain glory by illegaly obtain victory.

you cant be serious, i hope you are playing the devils advocate with this post. but if not answer me this, if he did nothing wrong, why did he get banned and have his license suspended for a year? and on top of that he has to re-apply to have his license re-instated. if he did nothing wrong are they just picking on tony "the mason,brick layer" margocheato. thats a lot of punishment for someone that DID nothing wrong. also nassim said there was a hard lump of plaster that fell out of margs wraps when they were undone. come on you really cant think he did NOTHING wrong do you?

i think margacheato should be allowed to fight ONLY if he is agreeable that he wears legal wraps and gloves and EVERY one of his opponents gets to put ****ing plaster blocks in their gloves.

then we can see how marg likes to be hit with bricks the rest of his fights until he turns into mush.
