When people say he is not a WW, what does that mean? If other WW's are not to big for him, if they cant over power him, if they cant push him around, if he can take a WW punch, and the strength in his punches are even or greater, How is he not a WW?

          Freddie Roach

Manny was 151 lbs at four and a half weeks out, we keep him on a 7000 calories a day diet, and once we get to Dallas, I just have to take a few things away from the diet. We have to keep his intake up. He has to have a protein shake before going to bed, he has one at 3am, and another one first thing in the morning. He has up to six meals a day and six protein shakes a day when in training for a fight. We have to keep weight on him, as he trains so hard. We can’t have his body dropping calories.”

He is definitely a very solid 14Xish fighter now. The weight looks natural on him

Explain that to the Knights of Double Standards that said the catchweight imposed on Cotto was within the WW limit, which supposedly also meant that he had to put up his belt. Ridiculous.

Because unlike other fighters at WW he HAS TO KEEP UP HIS WEIGHT ARTIFICIALLY!!!!

No, see my post above. He's doing that JUST TO KEEP THE WEIGHT UP. If he stopped eating that much, he'd drop down to 35 easy.

Most other guys have to starve themselves to make weight and this dude is eating enough for 3 people in 1 day.

If he wasnt a WW he wouldnt be 151 Pounds.

Roach clearly said we have to keep weight on him because he trains so hard we dont want his body losing calories.

He was 151 4 weeks out. Which means he was in full tilt training camp.

At the end of the ****ing day he's fighting at the welterweight limit. He may not be a true welterweight on paper but in the ring he is. Either way though those ariza-mins are really giving him that "it" factor.
