We have to keep his intake up. He has to have a protein shake before going to bed, he has one at 3am, and another one first thing in the morning. He has up to six meals a day and six protein shakes a day when in training for a fight. We have to keep weight on him, as he trains so hard. We can’t have his body dropping calories.”

    Case Closed.
    That proves nothing:

“We want Manny to be explosive and we want him to build up muscle in moving up to 145 pounds,” ~Ariza

    Why build?

      He just said it.

They want to be explosive so they are putting on muscle.

JMM put on fat vs. Floyd.

well in all actuality what i stated is the truth backed up by the bible of boxing. other then that i'd have to say yea there's alot of corruption in the sweet science. i'm going for clottey, but if pac-man can beat his ass then wow. i'm a fan of both fighters and will be rooting for clottey but will still be happy if pac-man wins

That's my point..if he's a WW--he shouldnt need to take a crapload of food to maintain weight. And if they are building muscle---he's eating more calories than he's burning. Again, he's not small but he seems to be able to fight efectively in different weights.

No, see my post above. He's doing that JUST TO KEEP THE WEIGHT UP. If he stopped eating that much, he'd drop down to 35 easy.

Most other guys have to starve themselves to make weight and this dude is eating enough for 3 people in 1 day.

            Case closed.
He's eating enough for 3 people because he is working out a lot more than a normal person. He eats 7000 calories because he is burning around 7000 a day because of his work outs. If he ate less he would drop weight, but he would carry on dropping weight until he either cut back on his work outs or raised his calorie intake back up to 7000.

Regardless of how he trains---if they're intent is to build muscle they're caloric intake must be more than what they're burning....didn't Paul Williams say he had to eat alot when he went up in weight?

To get to 160 yes. This is him at 147. He is not big or muscular.

Remember when Hopkins hooked up with Shillstone and was rock hard at 175 Pounds? Same thing with Pacman.

What's your point again? That Pacquiao is not a JWW when he just fought Hatton last year?
