Manny Pacquiao IS NOT a JWW or a LW. He is a WELTERWEIGHT. Dead that myth.

Phelps is a swimmer, he's not making any weight. He has to intake that many calories to simply fuel his workouts. If he didn't he'd probably die...SERIOUSLY, thats how hard the guy works. Your body runs on its caloric or energy intake. Pacquiao does extremely intense spurts of training especially during his shorter camps like the 8 week Cotto camp. To fuel his body he needs to intake that much energy. Its not about keeping weight up at all.
Sorry man, I'm 6'2 so I consider guys 5'6 midgets.

And yea, size does matter a big 200+ pound man needs more food than a guy who weights 140.

    Thats just physics.

Pacquiao ate 7000 calories and still couldn't make 47'. He came in at 45.

He doest not eat that much to gain weight. He eats because swimming is one of the best forms of cardio alive.
exactly swimming is the most intensive cardio workout out there, full body stuff. There are no weight limits he's gotta make in swimming, if anything he's a rail compared to almost every other Olympic Swimmer, he's not trying to keep weight on, the body simply needs the fuel

You said he wasn't that big. 6'4 200+ pounds is a big guy.

Pacquiao is not a hard gainer. Hes not little and has to pack on weight.

He was weighing 144 at lightweight.
JMM weighed in at 40' in the Pac rematch. Doesn't mean he's a JWW.

Everyone rehydrates the day of the fight. It means nothing.

Come on man he can still make 140...If Jones could lose 20 pounds of muscle I believe Pacquiao could lose a couple...

It seems that the Pac fans can't grasp the fact that working out burns more calories. If Pac was eating 7000 calories a day and not working out he would be a heavyweight in 3 months.

How did he manage to work out before he ate 7000 calories a day??

                  Makes no sense.

Let's be serious---Pacquiao can fight at welterweight but he assuredly can make JWW and possibly push himself to 135. Would it affect his performance? Probably--but Kermit the frog, Dough Fischer, who's been there upclose and personal with Pacquiao considers Pacquiao a natural JWW who can fight effectively at WW. And no, Pacquiao is not small but his frame and unique muscle build allows him to go up and down weights easier.
