    The Calm Before The Storm

Is the Pac - Clottey fight the type of fight you didn't bother watching only to wake up screaming Sunday morning because the guy on ESPN just called Clottey the new WBO Welterweight champ?

    Where the hype at?

I don't hear much about this fight. I'm not buying it and my Pinoy friends will not be holding their usual Pacquiao tailgate parties in their garages and I don't even know if they're buying it, as well.

Is the boxing world overlooking Clottey and assuming that it will just be another day at the office for Manny Pacquiao or are they nervous for Manny and would rather just find out the next morning so that they could spare themselves the gut wrenching moment of watching the ref raise Clottey's hand in a Buster Douglas type, kind-of, upset?

I still remember waking up Sunday afternoon and watching highlights of Douglas' upset of Mike Tyson on TV. Dang! I didn't even know they were fighting that weekend. I thought it was the weekend after.

Something seems very weird with tomorrow's fight. Like the calm before the storm.

As much as I want that to happen I get a stronger sense Pacquiao is taking Clottey out early.

I hope not, boxing NEEDS Floyd May vs Manny Pacquiao.

You think it's just another day at the office for Pacquiao? Is this why people are not as interested in it?

Definitely. I'm sure there'll be a rematch if Clottey upsets Manny.

I'm very interested in it, Clottey will give Pacquiao hell. It's just one of those gut feelings. My brain says Pacquiao 116-112.

My brain says Pac by UD but my gut says Pac by DQ.

Watch out for a rainstorm of head butts and low blows.

Its gonna get rough in there.

116-112 is very likely if there are no knockdowns or knockouts.

I think it will be an exciting fight. Action packed for sure. Plus, Clottey is one of the toughest fighters Manny will ever face and I would be interested in how he deals with him.

I'm just not as hyped on it as usual. I'm treating it like a tune-up before he faces PBF. But Clottey is a live dog tomorrow night, no doubt.

Are you as excited to this fight, as per your usual?

Right now, I'm on the fence if I'm buying it or not.
