Maybe DLH thought he could get to and feel comfortable at 147 on fight night, he realised the only way he was going to be 147 on fight night was to be dehydrated so he chose to do that instead of losing millions of $.

The fact that after weigh ins he couldn't rehydrate more (even with an IV) shows that he was fully hydrated at the weigh ins.
