Dude, only Cotto came in with a catchweight. The reason for that is that PAC has never fought a full fledged welter before so he asked for the catch weight and try it out. Now that his confidence level is off the roof, he ain't asking for one anymore.

They both come for the third world.
They are simple human being with heart coming from poverty.

I have a lot of repect for both guys,altough Clottey is too much of a sore looser I respect a lot how he made his way from a poor town of Ghana.

They aren't born in USA,Germany or UK with good means,good gyms.
Nobody helped them like in our develloped countries.

They aren't born like PBF in USA in a boxing family.
They made their way only with two balls and two gloves to a world title,seven for Manny.

Yes it was. Right on the video of him getting blood drawn the reporter said it was for different tests including performance enhancers. They even did a followup report a few days later and made a big deal about them coming up clean because of the whole mayweather situation. People even made several threads about them. *****s simply chalked it up to not being random.

"At the present time, no drug testing will be required of the boxers," she told The News Thursday. "We don't see rumors as good cause. There is a medical examination before the fight, but that doesn't include drug testing."

Pardon me for butting in, but i think shadeyfizzle meant the tests ordered by the NSAC when the negotiations for May-Pac was almost dead. It wasn't scheduled months ahead and was only anounced 48hrs before the test, hence it being 'random.' That certain test was a urine test.

As for the Pac-Clottey fight i think its the same test they use for all fights. Didn't know about the post-fight test though, thanks for posting that.

No, shadeyfizzle was talking about the blood tests that Manny-Clottey took were for PEDs but that is not true. Those blood tests were for a routine prefight physical/medical examination, the article states that.

With this fight, the tests are not the same because each different state commission does things differently. As the article states, Texas does not have then test before AND after the fight. As a matter of fact, there is NO drug testing for these two fighters at all from the State of Texas, only the WBO will urine test afterwards.
