who does khan have to beat in 18 months....

.... to be a serious name to be considered by floyd?

I mean, floyd wanted to fight malignaggie and nate campbell... so wouldn't khan already be a viable opponent for floyd?

I think it's more about it being a big event. Floyd was going to fight Malignaggi or Campbell as a tune up. But apparently tune up aren't allowed when you're a PPV attraction. Part of that has to do with the prohibitive cost...which is partially the fighter's fault because they want so much money.

If I was managing Khan I'd go this route over the next 18 months; Malignaggi then try to get the Hatton fight. If that fails I'd go for someone like Campbell or Michael Katsidis. After that I'd go right back after Hatton. After Hatton, I'd go after Floyd, but if that doesn't pan out, I'd go for someone like Victor Ortiz. I'd stay very far away from Devon Alexander and Tim Bradley and maybe even Andre Berto.
