Miguel is/was a good boxer, he's the most effective against softer guys who can't handle his pressure and strength. When you got a guy who can take his punches and smile back and hit him back harder he retreats, he started that trend late in the fight against Mosley. Mayweather would make Cotto look silly, Pac did, granted Pac has a lot more punch output than Cotto but Floyd is more accurate and elusive than Pac, with amazing talent and boxing IQ. Floyd UD's Miguel or possibly KO's him in the mid rounds.

        Floyd would tax that ass.
        Clear win.

This would be a great fight, even today.

I don't see him beating Mayweather. As much as I hate to say it, I don't think many people can beat Mayweather, and you're not knocking him out. He's too quick. It won't be an exciting brawl but I think Mayweather pulls off a UD.

It'd be similar to the DLH fight.

The jab my friend, ODLH gave Floyd fits with it when he used it. Cotto has one of the best jabs in the game and is a natural agrressor where as ODLH didn't even know how to cut the ring off (Freddie Roach said in training).

Sure Floyd could have won but I just see Cotto breaking him down and winning the decision.

Oscar reach is 73. Cotto's reach is a mere 67. Oscar is quicker than Cotto and double ups on the jab way better than Cotto. Anyways, Floyd adapted to Oscar reach

I'd say Cotto's jab is faster than the Oscar of 07. Oscar has a longer reach but how much of that is arm length? Cotto's jab is so snappy, I can see Floyd having a lot of trouble trying to adapt and find ways to land without that in his face.

The only two guys to beat Cotto attacked him relentlessly and traded blow for blow, I don't think that's an option for Floyd and when you try to outbox someone who hits as hard as Cotto for 12 rounds you've got to be alert all the way. Cotto in 2007/2008 believed he was invincible as he was undefeated and Mayweather would have had to teach him how to lose, not easy to do.
