BoxingScene.com has learned that WBO junior welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (25-0, 11KOs) will be making his HBO debut on June 26 against welterweight Luis Carlos Abregu (29-0, 23KOs). Bradley, unable to find an opponent willing to face him at 140, is moving up to fight Abregu at 147, but plans to go back to junior welterweight afterwards. The fight will likely take place at the Agua Caliente Casino in Rancho Mirage, California.

Well this was dumb. He shouldve fought Williams at 147 then.

Why go to 147 then drop back down?

Never seen that guy once. I'll take it as an easy tuneup for Bradley while awaiting a more serious challenge. I'm hoping it will be from Alexander. Bradley did what he had to do and dropped a strap before. If a fight between those 2 means giving up some gold, so be it. I wanna see it!

Good tune up fight for Bradley. And, I am interested to see him how he looks at 147.

Abregu is not a tune up.
