cotto was a rising star and mayweather was already established.

arum wanted to build the fight up. he wanted to build the fight just like he do with ALL of his big fights.

mayweather simply said what was told to him about cotto at the time by arum.

I don't think fighting yuri foreman with 8 ko's in 28 fights is really getting fed to the "crocs" Cotto will beat yuri foreman i would even say stop him within 9 rounds. Just because u lose doesn't mean your shot, has he lost something yes THE MAN HAS BEEN IN F'N WARS your going to lose something. I've seen foreman a few times the guy is nothing special and even this caliber of cotto could beat him. I know what your trying to say because we all know how arum uses people. and I also think the floyd thing he wasn't making fun of him. And Floyd and cotto never happened because one Floyd retired right after the hatton fight and two when they were at 140 cotto was still not even remotely ready to take on floyd at jw. Thats my opinion I honestly don't think floyd ducked him just my two cents maybe he did who knows but why waste time to speculate. I will say something I respect cotto alot more than floyd when it comes to boxing because miguel fought everyone. But Floyd beats miguel in a good competative fight. Floyd and a Cotto fight would have been epic.
