I don't think it's about race either, but nationality. Americans have always had competition in the lower weight classes, but they traditionally dominated the HWs. Now they don't, and they don't like it.

People just aren't intrigued by the division, not because of the klitz but because of their competition.
Ever heard of Fedor Emilienenko?
He is a God to many Americans and the only threat to his status as g.o.a.t is Anderson Silva. Although Silva has 4 losses the X factor puts him in a league only Fedora resides in.
Now look at Brock and tell me you don't see what the hype is about. Brock may never get his just due because Defoe's legacy will remain a dark cloud over his career because the HW division doesn't look as devasting in the UFC as it did in Pride.

Excellent post, I agree for the most part.

Regarding MMA, it's not true that everyone fights everyone, for example Kimbo Slice is being protected because he's a cash cow, Lesnar vs Fedor has not happened even though a lot of people want it, etc. But yeah, the big fights happen a lot more than in boxing for the most part, because most of the fighters fight for the same promotion (UFC), so they fights can be easily made. But that also hurts the fighters because it decreases their earning potential.

Kimbo is fighting James Toney next. That's a heluva way to protect somebody.

Its the truth..tyson era was weaker than wlads era, lennox era was equal if not weaker than vitali current domination, yet because they are white, and the self hating white media are scared that its obvious the eastern block are about to completely take over boxing from middle weight division upwards they denounce it...

it dont matter if your pink, white, brown, black , alien from space. its just not a loaded division.

No matter how much talent there is in the division, the Klitschkos would still be hated by many in the media and the sheeple who listen to them, because of their "unforgivable whiteness".

Have you noticed how the American media people like Kellerman, Raskin, Detloff and Atlas were so enthusiastic about Sam Peter a few years ago? Atlas said Peter was going to be the next great heavyweight. Now they are embracing Haye, despite his extremely boring performance against Valuev.

The honest truth is, they want a black heavyweight champion and they don't care if he's American or not.
