You guys do know he took a 95-5 purse split for this Saturday's fight? What do you think he took for the Cotto fight in MSG on the eve of the Puerto Rican parade? 5% might sound really small but for a hungry man like Clottey at the age of 32 and no name value, thats more than he can ask for, thats 1 million dollars this saturday. He took short purses against all 3 of the top fighters he fought. Judah took a huge piece of the license HBO paid for their fight as well which I think was 300k. Dont think for a sec that Judah and HBO gave Clottey even one third of that. That was Clotteys first time on HBO and made him around 50k, a move up from fighting on VS and ESPN for 10k. Clottey just hasnt made enough money in boxing but this Saturday if he will be very well off. I hope he manages his money and makes a few more good purses after this.
