arum is cheap but he's effective.

you can spend more money promoting a fight but if the number of revenue increased isn't more than the money you spent to get those additional buys then it was meaningless.

a lightly promoted fight which sells less can actually make more money than a heavily promoted fight that sells more.
as a fight fan I don't care about which company is gonna outlast which company. I care about hype and great fights. GBP does a better job. I dont care if they get less profit by doing that.

They know boxing, Arum might be a prick but the man has a real eye for talent and knows how to build and hype his fighter.

          really?

what's the best fight you saw last year? did it have the most hype?

          hype doesn't equal great fight.

ton of advertising money doesn't equal great fight.

and you should care if they make a profit , nimrod. them making profit is what keeps boxing alive. the moment boxing doesn't make a profit , there is no more boxing to watch.

since you're on the subject of hype/ads/promotions......

you want to know what the most expensively promoted fight was?

          buster douglas-evander holyfield.

the mirage put in at least $20 million on promoting that fight themselves if my memory is working.

the mirage hasn't held a major boxing event since that i can recall.
