arum outlasted don king. he'll outlast golden girl too.
its not about outlasting its about promoting fights. GBP does a better job in promoting fights. I know for sure if GBP had promoted Pacquiao-Cotto it would have done 2 million PPV buys.
Someone show me some proof of good Golden Boy undercards. I hate when people always say that. Mayweather/Oscar was horrible, Pac/Oscar was even worse. Hatton/May? Another crap card. Pretty sure JMM/MAB was bad also. So I don't get where all this "Golden Boy has better undercard" crap comes from.

i don't get it either.
people think it's the promoter's choice to have crappy undercards.
it's not because they want crappy undercards , they can't afford it.
top rank and others pay their stars top dollars.
don king had great undercards because he was robbing all his fighters blind.

Its only natural for the one doing the better job to outlast the one that is not.
And where did DLH learned his tricks in establishing GBP? Bob Arum. Hard to mess with what he has done for decades. King is the closest contender to being the best promoter, not GBP.

it is about outlasting your competition , you muppet. you can put on tons of great fights but if your company goes bankrupt your promotion was a failure.
advertising/promoting is a balance of how much you spend on tv/radio ads and how much you make.
arum is cheap but he's effective.
you can spend more money promoting a fight but if the number of revenue increased isn't more than the money you spent to get those additional buys then it was meaningless.
a lightly promoted fight which sells less can actually make more money than a heavily promoted fight that sells more.
