Haye did what he had to do; Valuev has a huge, hard head and going in and trying to blow him over would have resulted in Haye gassing himself out, tiring down the stretch and probably losing a decision in (what was perceived to be) a hostile judging environment. Instead he boxed, moved, which isn't generally his forte, but he pulled it off and took home the title.

Btw, no one is really dis*****g Wlad is a huge draw in Germany. He obviously is.
Its not that Wlad is boring, becuse I understand the stylistic advantages that he poseses. It is that he has no killer instinct. He had opponents hurt, the ability to finish them earlier but he is concerned about opening up in the slightest fashion because he does not want to get caught.

The fact that he has no killer instinct makes him boring. This is boxing for christ's sake. It's also not just because he doesn't wanna get caught, he doesn't want to gas himself out either, like he did in the first Brewster fight. A heavyweight should throw more power shots, not just jabs. He's not interesting to watch, IMO, and that is why I want to see Haye knock him out. Because Haye is an exciting fighter (Valuev fight excluded, though I was pretty excited that he could rock that man-mountain with a BROKEN HAND)

Embarrass myself further? I'm not the one coming up with pathetic excuses like "oh the german fans don't create a good atmosphere, Haye fans do".

Wlad>>>>>>Haye both as a fighter and as a draw.

In Germany, yes. Obviously that's Wlad's adopted nation. If they fought in Wembley, meaning Wlad and Haye fight, you'd get tens of thousands of fans showing up to watch Haye, a British fighter, unify the belts. So you've kind of got a mute point.
