There is always someone rising to take the place of those before them. People say ****** **** like this everytime a superstar retires.

That's the problem with people commenting without even reading and understanding...really pathetic.

He's just a racist ****tard looking for any reason to diss Filipino's. That's what it comes down to. Imagine the **** people would get if they said "This is why nobody takes these black Afro-American nuthuggers seriously. They don't know **** about boxing"?

I'm not racist against anyone. I was laughing because the comment was ignorant. Don't get sensitive over ****** comments, just ignore it or laugh it off. And you're automatically assuming I'm black....get real. It's okay for Filipino fans in this forum to generalize...mainly Floyd and his family, poke fun at his fans but the minute someone disagrees with a Pacquiao fan...then they're racist and it's a problem. The double standards around here are horrible.

NO fighter is bigger than the sport. Boxing will never die, it will continue to be successful.

                By Oliver Suarez

Lenny De Jesus, Pacquiao’s former cutman is now the trainer for Joshua Clottey, who is scheduled to face the Filipino icon this Saturday.

Having been a part of Pacquiao’s team before, he’s made it known that he knows Pacquiao’s weakness and will be able to exploit them. He also said that he trains his fighters to be prepared for 15 rounds and that Clottey will become more aggressive in his fight against Pacquiao and will go for the stoppage if given the chance. Read more about what he had to say below.

OS: What do you think about this fight with Manny. What does it mean to Joshua Clottey?

LD: This is a great opportunity for the African kid Joshua Clottey because you know as I say, you go around the world once and this for us, you going around the world with Manny Pacquiao. It’s a good opportunity to elevate him to another level. This is the time for us to shine, I think. I think we’re going all the way in this fight. I’m very confident, but not too overconfident because we’re fighting an icon and me standing here…Pacquiao is my favorite fighter of all time. You know he has accomplished something that nobody that nobody has. He has 7 world titles; the thing I love about Manny Pacquiao is that hes very passion and lovable all over the world and he’s the number one, not on the planet but the whole world, the whole planet, the whole galaxy because boxing if Manny Pacquiao decides to leave tomorrow, boxing will go down, die. There won’t be another Manny Pacquiao., it’s like my hero Sugar Ray Robinson, Joe Louis, Muhammad Ali, you know he’s the heavyweight fighter of this era.
                LENNY..........
The way he think is probably why he is no longer with the Pacquiao's team.
The sport of boxing will live on even if Pacquiao,Mayweather,Mosley,Klitschko's etc are no longer around.

Two years ago Pac was only known by hardcore boxing fans, now he is an international star and lets not forget that ODLH was suppose to be the last star in boxing and Mayweather vs ODLH the last great superfight ever. Boxing would die after blah blah blah.

Or how about before ODLH-Pac, that hack journalist/commentator Wally Mathews bitching and moaning like a women that boxing will never again reach De La Hoya numbers...and only a year later we might have what would be one of the biggest fights in boxing history.

I feel sorry for Clottey, not because of these comments but because De Jesus just seems very clueless for the most part with his comments in regards to the fight itself. Clottey should have hired a real trainer.

...and before anyone mentions the UFC killing boxing or such nonsense just take a look at their PPV numbers for the past half year, they are averaging 250k for their last three events. The shine has worn off and they will do regular boxing numbers outside of major fights, heck James Toney is creating a stir in MMA...James Toney LOL.

That's insanity, boxing is a worldwide sport and in a lot of counties is the national sport. It's the oldest sport known to man and it seems like all the basketball players, football players, actors, and the like all wish they could be boxers. They said this evertime a great boxer has retired and there was always someone there to fill his shoes. Every 10-15 years a great comes along. Just look at history if you don't believe me.
