Hes fought the best most when he was out his prime Hopkins, Vargas, Quartey, Taylor and Paul Williams. Most of his prime has been spent being ducked.

burner they are not scrubs but Quartey was wayy out of his prime....tito was a good win...and the shane wins were good....

I'm gonna have to disagree on this one. I think the biggest "myths" in boxing is that Winky Wright is a Hall of Fame fighter. I give him credit for beating Mosley twice and Felix Trinidad, but outside of that he has no other great wins on his resume. You can't just beat a great fighter and get into the Hall. If that's the case why not put Tarver in there. After all beating Roy twice>>Beating Shane twice.

Not just that, but his 3 biggest wins were against career WW's Quartey, Trinindad, and Mosley. I can't give him credit for the Quartey win because Ike was 3-3 above his career weight and two of his wins were against Journeymen.

Sorry but he had his opportunities but kept coming up short. Against Vargas, Taylor and B-hop and time he fought a guy equal in size he basically lost. So no....Winky isn't a hall of famer and not even an ATG.

Its the impact he left on the sport that get him in. When someone says the name Gatti you know they talking about the blood and guts warrior. The other guy was a Mafia boss...lol.

I want him to be in. He left it all in the ring and gave the fans classics.

Gatti might get in cuz of his impact eventually. But, he will not be a first ballot HOF'er. It will take years for him to get in. Danny Lopez was just as popular and just as exciting as Gatti. Plus Lopez has a better resume than Gatti. And, it took Lopez years to get in. So if Gatti does get in it will take years for it to happen... If he does get in quick ti maybe cuz of his untimely death.
