Comments Thread For: Joan Guzman on Campbell, Funeka, Pacquiao, Mayweather

Many Joan Guzman fans felt that the proposed 2008 fight with Nate Campbell, who was riding high after a points win over Juan Diaz, would be Guzman’s coming out party. Unfortunately, it became a nightmare from which Guzman could not escape; his body shut down in the days before the fight and he was unable to shift the final 3.5lb needed to make the 135lb lightweight limit. Finally something on Guzman, interesting read. So he doesn't want to change what he did last time, only add to it. He's gonna have to box Funeka, none of that trying to maneuver Funeka into the ropes, thats tiring especially for a little guy like Guzman, I mean Funeka is like 152 fight night. Guzman should try and enter the ring at 143-144.

I want Guzman to d well, but I really want Funeka to win this fight. if he loses I'll feel real bad for the guy. Because the first fight was a highway robbery.

word yo.. we'v seen how effective he can be at that weight on fight night.. for his biggest fights hes been that weight.. like barrios and davis..vs soto and recently he comes like 148 but 152 was his highest ever.. waay but way to high for a lightweight.. means he was dehydrated

Guzman aint little, both guzman and Funeka weigh more than 150 at fight night during their first fight...

these guys are weighing more than PAC's Welterweight fights at LW...
