I suspect GBP think Khan-Maidana can be a good money making fight down the road, when Khan's had another year of Roach's tutelage in which to tighten his defence up.Comment

a) Rafael is a very trustworthy journalist. He doesn't just make stuff up. If he were proved wrong about this, his credibility would be seriously damaged. He's not like the Daily Mail journalists who just make stuff up. Rick Reeno too. He didn't just get the story from Rafael, he had his own sources within GBP.
b) If it were false, GBP would have denied it by now. It has seriously damaged their reputation, so they would be idiots not to deny it if it weren't true. And GBP are many things, but they are not idiots.Last edited by Dave Rado; 03-10-2010, 12:05 PM.Comment

Absolute proof only happens in mathematics. In real life. only a nuthugger wouldn't accept this as hard fact.
Especially when you take into account the fact that Maidana is fighting Cayo (a high risk low reward fight) in a non-title fight, when he could have enforced his mandatory instead, and was planning to do so until he met with GBP; and he said he considered Khan to be a lower risk higher reward fight, because of Khan's chin, and because of Khan's title.
And especially when you take into account the fact that Roach was saying that he would advise Khan to vacate if the mandatory was enforced, but that he hoped and believed it wouldn't come to that.Last edited by Dave Rado; 03-10-2010, 12:33 PM.Comment

There is no evidence to suggest he paid Maidana to not fight him for a year or whatever. Let Khan have his debut then see what he does before crucifying him. And like I said, Paulie is a far more relevant name than a worn down Zab Judah.Comment

Khan "avoided" Maidana for now because he wanted a bigger name fight for his US debut. He tried to get JMM who is an infinitely better fighter than Maidana but he rejected. Sorry but Paulie at MSG is a big fight that is perfect for his first US showcase.

Instead, Maidana has been paid off to stay away for three fights, not one, which I've proved beyond reasonable doubt (nuthuggers not being subject to reason), sufficient to satisfy any rational jury. If you insist on dis*****g that, put your 100k where your mouth is and sig my bet. If you're not willing to do that, then STFU.Last edited by Dave Rado; 03-10-2010, 01:22 PM.Comment
