Perez is a beast and while I like Abner I am really not sure he can beat him at this point.

Perez trains year round and is never more than 5-6lbs over his fight weight. Kid is non stop.

this is IMO going to be a fight of the year style fight

What I'm concerned with is Mares's willingless to over commit to combinations when in perimeter leaving himself open for counters. He can't do that against Perez. I want to see Mares limit his combos to 3 punches and and remove himself from danger.

Cermeno is not a 'champ'. He's the interim champ, he has to beat Moreno to get the real one.

Perez is a pretty good fighter. He usually fights a more technical fight, not like he did against Agbeko. He's got good height and reach for the weight, has good technique, and work rate. He also showed a decent beard in the Agbeko fight. Though he does lay on the ropes sometimes and leans in from time to time.
