I hope Abner Mares wins big on the 25th, can't wait to see him win that title. The kid has a lot of talent, hopefully he gets with a noted trainer soon.

Good showcase fight for Mares. Perez is going be more than a step up for Mares. That is a serious fight.

hopefully he can get a good trainer, too bad berinstain left him,not many people know, but floyd mayweather used to train him too, that was early in his career, let's see how he does in big fights without nacho, perez i really don't know much about that guy,but he won the title by beating joseph agbeko in a good fight, agbeko had just beatin darchinyan...so perez shouldn't be considered a bum, maybe not a great champ, and maybe, because i don't know much about him,but by no means a bum....imagine mares, montiel, hasegawa, moreno and cermeño,all these bantam champs...great division

Perez is durable as **** and dude does not slow down. He's got speed and decent power and doesn't get too wild. I favor Perez though I want Mares to win.

I think both Mares and Perez beat Juan Ma Lopez at 122.

Juanma has a lot of trouble making 122 though... At this point making 122 really weakens Juanma IMO.

                    noted trainer?

he had Nacho and while he liked it now prefers Joel Diaz who has a world champion from scratch in none other than Tim Bradley

and lest we forget he was trained by Floyd Sr for a minute as well
