well in that case roger has no one since floyd sr took him from the beginning and taught him most of his technique. amir was decent but just came off a bad ko so if he turns out to be a great fighter in the sport i would credit freddie a lot for that.

Who else has he really trained? Except for a girl that he choked, never read of any fighter he coached that you could read about in the news. Please let me know if I'm wrong.

Was it not Floyd who trains himself? They don't discuss strategy because Floyd will just figure it out on the ring. What does he bring to the team then?
Dont worry about who "else" he trained my dude. Judge him for who HE DID train.

Roger is the head of that team. Hes been with Floyd for over 9 years. Hes developed that style and now they have it mastered.

Floyd doesnt train himself. Roger trains him. Hes been with him his whole life. I mean hes his uncle and was a professional for Gods sake. Some trainers like to keep there focus ont he ONE guy they been training Roger is no different. You dont have to train multiple fighters to be a good trainer. Just liek you dont have to fight in multiple classes to be a good fighter.

im being serious here, the last time i see roger in someone else's corner, he was training said ouali, before that wes ferguson (who got his ass kicked)

i just assumed that if a trainer is so great then young fighters or reclamation projects would want to work with him. who's working with roger?

Floyd Mayweather Jr. works with Roger. He puts all his time into Floyd. Whats wrong with that? Hes making millions with his nephew. Easy decision.

no he doesnt. he trains other fighters but none of em turn out to be any good.
it wasnt long ago that wes ferguson was one of the brightest up n coming prospects. he fizzled out with the quickness.
he handles some of the boxers under mayweather promotions, like jesse vargas. we'll see how that kid turns out.

That was a fighter name that I was having this argument a couple days ago... Like I said before Jesse Vargas IMO will make him or brake him.

Thats what Im saying his main focus is his blood nephew who he makes millions with. Vargas might be good he might be ass.

Its easy to grab the hottest prospect and over extend urself to 20 fighters. Roach doesnt train all these dudes he has assistants to help him.

He has Rigondeaux, Pac, Jose and Khan. As his main dudes. Hes not everywhere at one time.

All right then. But we do not have a healthy number to gauge his skills as a trainer. What he really that good or was Floyd really that good? You see that is the problem on having just 1 star. This is different from the analogy of a domination of a single weight class. Because you always have a different opponent in front of you, different style, different skill sets, different level of opposition. You could form a better opinion from that number of variables.

he dont work for anyone else, the mayweather clan stays together besides Sr. Roger gets paid handsomely by PBF he doesnt need to train anyone else, he probably wouldnt want to anyways, but as far as being a good trainer, well he himself a good record in the ring, and Floyd is 40-0... so hes gotta be doin something right!

I se what you mean but when your guy barely loses rounds let alone fights that counts for something we cant just act like "oh thats just Floyd he was already good". I been following his career from the start, live in Michigan, been to 4 of his fights thats one of my guys. His style is different. His defensive is completely mastered and that comes with training. Ask yourself this: Can Roger help tighten ups Pacs D?
