i think he has average power for a WW. but i guess you could say it's often overlooked because of his other attributes.
As I said before, I meant to say punching power through accuracy, which is a combination of the two. I wish I could change the thread title...

That said i think Floyd may struggle to keep Shane off him in their fight..........
Unless Mosley pulls an ODLH and decides to ignore his corner, get angry, and start leading with power shots instead of the jab. That will just end in a smiling, pot-shotting, Floyd.

        Typical ignorance.

I think his accuracy is appreciated...even by those who are in denial about it.

Mosley never really had a good jab. He just paws with it. You can't teach an old dog new tricks. He won't get angry but rather frustrated because he has done this in the past when things are not going his way. Mosley's style hasn't changed much under ****m Richardson..people just feel that way because of his fight with Magarito. But if u look at that fight, he was still pawing with the jab, loading up on power shots, and holding. Same Mosley the only difference is he had a punching bag in fron of him.

floyd's offense is not deadly. its good enough to win fights but not good enough to excite.

Go watch his fight against Carlos. I know it was a ways back but the dude was droppin bombs the entire time until he fuzzed up his left hand. Then right after he switched southpaw and fuzzed up the right one too.
Totally agree with you. I dont think anyone will argue his accuracy. I think he has decent power and if he really wanted he take apart any welterweight but his more of a let you make mistakes first type fighter.

Yeah but thats the thing. He has to set up his punches against Mayweather. If you just go in there thinking you will get close for the body shots or you can just throw lead right hands at him. It will end in a boxing 101 clinic. Look at Ricky Hatton, ODLH, JMM, Ndou. Watch Zab before the 6th round and after the 6th round, he stopped jabbing.

Have you seen Floyd fight below 147? I'm sure you have. That doesn't just vanish because you moved up 7 pounds. His offense is deadly when he chooses to put pop on punches, and is very exciting when he does so. He just chooses not to because he wants to not risk anything.

                Excitement:
Pretty Boy Floyd >>>>>>>>>>>> Money Mayweather

How can you say that when he is hardly ever hit flush? And the times where he was hit flush, he seemed to be pretty fine afterwards.

Zab caught him with a check hook. So that doesn't count. That punch is designed to 90% of the time knock you off balance. Specially if you time it right and pivot on the front foot.

Flyod is not known as a power puncher, thats why almost all his fights ends in UD and opponents doesnt look beat up and are still smiling after fight.
