    Mayweather's punching power/accuracy is underrated

If you look at fighters like Mosley, Pacquiao, Margarito, etc, they use techniques like throwing punches in flurries, pressuring/brawling, or throwing lots of power punches to KO their opponents. These are excellent techniques, but how many of these guy can potshot and not throw combinations for an entire fight and still score knockdowns/KOs? And when Floyd doesn't KO his opponents, he brutally beats them. For an example, JMM. He still hasn't recovered from the beating Floyd gave him, according to Nacho. An example of a fighter he has KO'ed and was never the same afterwards is Ricky Hatton. And if you watch round 4 of the Judah fight, Mayweather landed one bodyshot and Judah took fight for the next 7 rounds.

The only fighters who probably didn't suffer much damage from him are Baldomir and De La Hoya, but did he even try to hurt them? Definitely not Baldomir because Floyd love tapped him for the full 12 rounds. De La Hoya did look hurt during some points in that fight, but for most of the fight Floyd love tapped him too.

My point is when Floyd tries to hurt his opponent, he does. His body punching is also very underrated, and probably his deadliest offensive weapon in my opinion...Just ask JMM.

          Power -- underrated
Accuracy -- well, I doubt you could find any real boxing fan here at BS that would say anything contradictory that his accuracy is underrated

His accuracy is definitely not underrated.
i think he has average power for a WW. but i guess you could say it's often overlooked because of his other attributes.

His power punching is underrated but that's only because he chooses to pick-a-part instead of dismantle when he is at WW. Also, he tends to wear the biggest freakin gloves possible for a WW. He chooses the ones with the most foam/padding and doesn't skin them either.

Go watch his fight against Carlos. I know it was a ways back but the dude was droppin bombs the entire time until he fuzzed up his left hand. Then right after he switched southpaw and fuzzed up the right one too.

Accuracy = power...........if you are hitting a guy in the temple or the botttom of the chin.....you really don't need to land a bomb to hurt them.......

Floyd's power shots also come at the least expected times and are rarely seen coming...........

That said i think Floyd may struggle to keep Shane off him in their fight..........
