I honestly don't think he can win. I don't think he has enough power to produce a KO based on how well Pacquiao took Cotto's punches and he I don't see him clearly winning enough rounds to get the decision. The best case scenario is that it goes to the cards in a close fight but the way things are stacked against I can't see him getting the nod plus judges these days always seem to favor activity even if it's not entirely effective.

And, that is what I am worried about it. Clottey is no joke he is a very good fighter and a top 5 WW.

Pac should win this fight, he just overall the better fighter. I have no doubt in my mind that a focused motivated Pac beats Clottey quite easily. But, I do question that focus and motivation for Clottey. There is something in this fight that worries me. I think Clottey is getting overlooked a little bit.
Probably over-analyzing here but do you think Roach/Pac picked Clottey as a tune-up for Mayweather? Considering he has a good jab, straight right and uses a tight guard similar to what Mayweather uses against lefty's? What do you think?

Thats a pretty good take on the situation. I agree with you about him being overlooked, which seems a little bit mad because Clottey hasnt been a pushover for anyone,is teak tough and always comes to fight.

The thing is that was Pac's first fight at WW (real live one i mean) and Cotto is excellent and has beaten up quite a few good fighters and beat Shane Mosley. He also has a good punch and it was the first time Pac's chin was gonna be tested.

Clottey to me is a decent fighter but doesn't really excel at anything to be fair.

I just can't see him dominating 9-10 rounds out of 12 to get a decision and a KO/TKO while never impossible seems unlikely given what Pac was able to take from Cotto. But who knows maybe Cotto took a little out of Pac, he ****** him up pretty bad if you look at Pac after the fight.

Pacquiao will bamboozle him with speed and punches from various angles.

I believe so, he doesn't have the Mayweather style but he has good and a very good straight. Weapons that Floyd will use. And, really Pac has fought fighters who strong hand was the left hand. This the first fighter since JMM that the strong hand will be the right hand.

so yea I think Roach picked Clottey as a tune up for Floyd. That is why also Pac has been trainging as a right handed fighter. And, sparrign against Steve Forbes while getting readly for Clottey. And, Forbes has the Mayweather style. That is why I am worried about this fight because I think they are over looking Clottey and preparing more for Floyd. And, Clottey is not a guy you over look IMO...
