These are some very good matchups that would seperate the Contenders from Pretenders. But with Devon Alexander and Timmy Bradley out there, is nonsense to say those fights would determine the #1 Jr Welterweight. Lets not forget Edwin Valero and Marcos Maidana, two guys with the Highest KO percentage in Lightweight history, or also players in that Division. Hell, Golden Boy was so Scared of Maidana, they paid him off so he would leave Amir Khan alone for the next year or so. I dont blame Golden Boy for avoiding Maidana, especially after what he did to their Other Prospect in Victor Ortiz, but i do Blame them for being ******. Golden Boy is attempting to SetUp Amir Khan as the #1 JrWelterWeight without having Khan Fight any Dangerous, in their Prime Fighters and that pisses me off. The other Sad thing is that Golden Boy is using Mark Vester to accomplish this Propaganda attack and the poor writer is too dumb to see it. Hatton/Marquez is basically the last big Payday for either fighter and more of a novelty than a real Matchup. Considering Hatton was brutally KOed the last time he fought and Marquez has never fought at 140, is hard for me to see either man Being considered as a Top 5 Jr WelterWeight. Mallignaggi/Khan reminds me of the Olympics Mens Ice Skating finals and my question is, "Which one is imitating Johhny Weir".

So it will be Malignaggi-Marquez then. Marquez will walk through Paulie (Sorry Paulie, im a big fan bro but JMM is too good). Thats why i dont think Marquez-Hatton is any good. Malignaggi is a great test for Khan (more than a test), if he wins it validates his claim at the top of 140lb but if he loses he'll be back in England before he can say fish and chips.

They are going to try and make Kahn a star without ever fight Alexander or Bradley. If he beats Paulie and beats the winner of Marquez vs Hatton then they will move him up to 147. Kahn has to realize that the 140 division is stacked full of fighters trying to prove themselves. He is whining and crying about not getting enough respect but he has'nt done **** and does'nt want to do ****. He just expects to be a star without doing ****. Don't get me wrong because Malignaggi, Marquez and even Hatton are decent fighters but they are mostly names at this point. I just want everyone to remeber this when it happens. They won't fight Bradley and they won't fight Alexander. If you ask me that makes him a road block for anyone that wants to see the division unified.

I dont understand what they are going to do here. Is the plan to match Hatton and Marquez for their next fight or is that fight for the fall. Personally I want to see Hatton fight a tune-up/comeback type fight. I would love to see Hatton vs. Spadafora, while Marquez fights maybe Kendall Holt, Andreas Kotelnik or Dmitry Salita on the same card setting up a fight between the winners. At this point Im not sure Hatton is able to make 140 comfortably so this fight seems far off to me in the first place

It looks to me like Golden Boy wants nothing to do with Bradley and Alexander.

I don't understand how Golden Boy can do this, they did the same thing to Nate Campbell at 135 after he destroyed Juan Diaz. Alexander and Bradley are the men to beat but instead they'd rather play with Hatton and Marquez. Hatton's going to be crippled if he doesn't retire and he should have plenty of money to retire and be happy. What does a victory over Marquez do for him when neither one of them are champions at 140. Marquez should attempt to face Devon Alexander lol, we all know he'd get the Urango treatment

i think he'll do that too. if he doesnt fight alexander, bradley or even ortiz, maidana or peterson before he moves up then he is a joke....a fckin sideshow that deserves no respect.

he cant hide forever though. even if he goes up to welterweight and the big names are gone, they'll still be big threats at welter like alvarez, brook and mike jones.
