Soliman Wright was anticipated as a mismatch ended up being a good fight though.

He drew with him in a very lackluster fight. I don't think either of them were worthy of title shots but I guess somebody has to get them in this day and age of heavyweights.

Kind of like JCC and JCC Jr.

Imagine if P.Will fought JCC Jr... how much heat would he get?

Good one, I remember that fight. What a joke it was, Martell's biggest asset was he looked dignified in his Indian headdress.

Thanks Jab for bringing some deep knowledge of boxing history.

Has any fight ever been heralded by the public at large as a mismatch in the past 50-60 years besides our recent DLH-Pac and May-Marquez fights?

Oscar vs Gatti and Oscar vs Charpentier were both looked at as mismatches. That didn't matter though because the public ate up any fight Oscar was in, mismatch or not.
