Comments Thread For: Roach: "Pacquiao Will Be The First To Stop Clottey"

Pacquiao defends the WBO welterweight title against Clottey on March 13 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Roach has studied dozens of tapes on Clottey and thinks he knows his boxing abilities like a book. He doesn't think the former champion will last to the tenth. [Click Here To Read More]

Clottey weighing 155 will surely help that.

The next thing you know Roach will say that Manny Pacquiao will be the first Filipino president to walk on the moon and make it back in time for dinner.

When has Roach ever been wrong with a prediction. He predicted a late stoppage in the DLH fight. DLH retires after 8 rounds. He said he'd be ashamed of Pacquiao if the Hatton fight goes mnore than 3 rounds. Hatton got KO'ed in 2 rounds. He predicted a late stoppage for the Cotto fight. Cotto gets stopped in round 12.

What's so different here? Roach is very smart when it comes to picking styles and opponents for Pacquiao to exploit and dominate. Clottey's style is almost tailor made for Pacquiao.
