    erik was already losing!!

Oscar de la hoya 36yrs old part time fighter since 2002 weight drained and lost 3 of his last 6 fights!!!

ricky fatton hatton got K.O.ed by floyd mayweather and mayweather is not even a power puncher!!!

Miguel cotto looked weak and like **** in his last 2 fights at 147lbs... so now drained to 145 and he was even more weak!!! why not fight cotto at 147lbs?? the natural response is 2lbs is no big deal!!! then if it was no big deal why not fight at 147lbs?? its no big deal right??

now joshua clotty??? only 2 of clotty's lat 12 fights were by k.o..... thats only 2 K.O. out of 12 fights!! they want to make sure manny does not have a chance of getting KNOCKED OUT!!! low risk fight for manny pac!!!

MANNY IS A PADDED PROTECTED FIGHTER!!!! if you have a chance to beat him or they cant weight drain you then you cant fight manny pac!!!
Excellent point. When I think about Pac's last three opponents, Cotto was two fights removed from being KO'd; Hatton was one fight removed from being KO'd and was wobbled in his last fight; Clottey lost his last fight. So the next opponent for Pacquaio after Clottey, based on his history, would be Juan Urango in January 2011 (after a Urango comeback fight later this year).

What's so different here? Roach is very smart when it comes to picking styles and opponents for Pacquiao to exploit and dominate. Clottey's style is almost tailor made for Pacquiao.

As much as i like Pacquaio, I still don't believe he is the pound for pound best. I hate this guy named Jim Rome from Sportscenter but him and some of his analyst picked his career apart. They made so much sense but I know how "faithful fans" don't like to hear the truth but I'm always open to intake new information and criticism. Research Jim Rome interview about Pac

No way does he stop Clottey. Clottey isn't shot and drained (DLH), glass jawed (Hatton), or mentally ruined and also weak chinned (Cotto).

Clottey has too much D and too tough a beard to get stopped here. Pac couldn't even drop an old sickly De La Hoya. He ain't stopping or dropping Clottey in this fight. He will cruise to a UD, but there will be moments where he is up against it.

Anybody can pick apart a career. He is p4p best or at worst number 2 now. He has flaws but that is part of what makes opponents underestimate him. Also part of what makes him exciting. And basically anybody can formulate his criteria of judging a fighter and then when it basically suits him ... changed it on the fly.

If Pac stops Clottey he will be the greatest boxer who ever lived for sure. Is there nothing Pac cant do now would be the question if he stopped clottey? Is there no end to the run of pulverising people who dont get pulverised.

But Pac better not look for a one punch knockout. He will have to use his speed, and power, and combinations and footwork to land often david diaz style.

Roach also said DLH was shot, weight drained, dehydrated, etc.

Roach also said that Hatton being ko'd by Mayweather ruined him, he looked terrible in his fight Pre Pac, and he was done.

Roach also said Cotto was done after the beating he took from Margarito.

This was all pre fight. So yeah, after being weight drained, I can see Clottey being stopped.

Yes, the Clottey excuses are coming in all ready. But no one would stop Clottey, apart from Pac. And no one will knock hatton in 2 like Pac did as well, even if Hatton made a comeback again. I bet Cotto wins a title again.
Where are all the people floyd beat and what have they gone onto do?

                    dear pacquiao,
please dont knock him out too early. at least put on a good show til 8th or something. just not 2 or 3 rounds like you did to hatton. but yeah, it'd be great if it went the distance, but i will be rooting for that knock out. good luck!

                    thanks in advance,
                    dome

Clottey is tough, and his guard is one reason why he hasn't been KO'd.

Not to mention his chin is really good.

It's a possibility, but I doubt it myself tbh.
