Roger rounded Mayweather's offensive skills and Floyd Sr. rounded his defensive skills. The Floyd Mayweather today combined both.

Kevin Cunningham is a good trainer though. He gets major props. Roger is a good trainer though.

Most of these people on this site think Floyds career started in 2007. Hes not the same guy he was 10 years ago.

So you are telling me that if Roach decided to train these guys liek Roach they would suck

        Binavedez

        Rigondeaux

        Khan

        Hopkins

You act like Roach got guys who tie there shoe laces or something. Rogers chooses to make Floyd his MAIN priority. So thats a bad thing?
Why put Hopkins with Roach? It was only one fight...

We can't even put Rigondeaux or Benavidez with Roach yet. They have less than 10 fights. We don't know how is going to work out with them yet...

Roach has had champs since close to 20yrs ago... Is an insult to even try and compare Roger to Roach...

Just like it is an insult to compare roact to D'mato

I mentioned Rigo and Jose because they are ALREADY skilled. Its not like these guys were tomato cans before they found Roach.

Roger makes Floyd his main priority I didnt know you have to over extend yourself to 30 different guys to be labeled a good trainer.

i didn't say roger wasn't a good trainer, I'm saying cunningham is a better trainer

floyd was better at 130 lbs period. there was no real difference in floyd's style. when floyd's style started to suffer was when he moved up to 147 lbs. even at 140 lbs, he was still letting his hands go.

link of dirrel's analysis of AA please.

I thought dirrell got robbed against froch, but for all his "knowledge" he sure didn't win a UD over froch.

really because they were both (roger and Ellerbe) giving him good advice against Judah, Bruseles, Baldomir......Castillo first fight...plenty ofothers

Roger: walk him down and be first........... - Judah fight

Castillo first fight: "sit down, exchange move.....repeat" - that won him rd 11 in the first Castillo fight........

They might be already but that don't mean they will accomplish anything as a pro...

I didn't ask for 30 different guys. I mean no trainer right now is Eddie Futch... But, give me one other champ? When Floyd Jr was retired where was Roger? Retired as well?

I just told there is none. Because he aint grabbing the hottest prospects and taking them under his wing like Roach does.

You dont have to train more the one fighter to be labeled a good trainer.

You said Roger is not a good trainer. Like what did you base that on?

episode 4 of fight camp 360....look it up on youtube lazy ass *****........

he basically says Jermain was doing the right thing and timing AA but because of what Hopkins termed the bow and arrow the punches weren't getting there on time......he also said when he looks out of the gaurd after you have thrown a flurry is the time to hit him agains ie set him up......he also talked about the way AA sets up the right.....and the fact that he disguises it well and it comes alot quicker than people think because he explodes into his flurries........
