Ton of natural ability but no skill. This was evident as he aged, when his natural ability declined, what did he have to fall back on? Nothing, thats why he loses so often now.

I guess it could be subjective though. Because its my opinion on RJJ and I know alot of people wouldn't agree with me. But when you think about it "the best" anything, is subjective. It's all opinion.

So what is the difference between RJJ and lets say, Ray Lewis at 28 years old in the boxing world. Would ray lewis hav ehte same record as RJJ in boxing? Apparently to some they have the same skillset and relied just on natural ability.

And...jsut because RJJ didnt box from a textbook, doesnt mean he was skilled. Fighting is natural, and instinct. Its not 1 way defined from some book or a few coaches. Just because RJJ and Ali didnt follow the book doesnt mean they should be looked as less skilled. RJJ used his physicality to his advantage and it should be counted as a knock against him.

Well, he didn't use it. He may have known it but so does Paulie, does it make him supreme skilled? Nope. And we can't say RJJ was greatly skilled if he never used it. He relied solely on his god given ability, so we can say he was incredibly naturally gifted. Even in his old age, he still doesn't use any technical ability. He still thinks he can duck and dodge everything like when he was young. Which further proves my point that he had no skill, or very little of it. Otherwise he would fall back on his skill because he is either ****** or has no skill if he thinks he can still do what he did back when he was 24.

                what??

btw..ducking and dodging, is a skill. He may have not gotteb used to his physicalness not being htere, but you cant just pull a NBA, or NFL top athelete and tell him to duck and dodge like a boxer.
