I hope that he goes to 140 and beats Peterson, then Bradley to show he is legit in a higher weight class. Then Pac can meet him at 140 or have him come to 147. Just some random **** I thought about posting....lol
valero needs to beat a champion at 140 lbs and then take a tune up against a gatekeeper at 147 lbs. both times valero must look impressive.

why can Valero establish himself at 140 and pac go down there to face him or meet him at a catch weight. IMO Pac is really a LW/140lb who fights at WW because that is where the money is at. He can easily make lower weights for the right fight, and Im pretty sure Arum will talk him into going down.

        arum promotes Valero right?

i dont think he'll put valero in with pac. he's probably thinking valero will be the "next pacquiao" in terms of popularity. he wouldnt want to risk his next cash cow with a brutal loss to Pac. just my guess/

There have been countless big time fights that haven't taken place in the US.

          Thrilla in Manilla
          Rumble in the Jungle
          Tyson vs Douglas in Japan

If pac beats Mayweather, Mosley or another top WW then I can mosdef see his star power rising big time. In that instance he will be able to carry a PPV by himself and still do big numbers. Oscar did it as well as Tyson...so I don't see why Pac couldn't if he pulled off huge wins against Floyd and Shane.
the problem with this is what other big fighter is goin to travel overseas to fight valero??? i mean he can fight pac in the phillipines or sumthin, but valero still needs to fight a top 5 or 10 welter to prepare for pac. they are all american and none of them are gonna fight outside of america unless arum offers them some good money, which he wont because he's cheap. but yea, this fight aint happenin unless arum just decides to throw valero to the dogs, like he recently did to cotto

I honestly think its like this

              1. Floyd Mayweather
              2. Shane Mosley
              3. Belt at 154
              4. Antonio Margarito
              5. Edwin Valero

Valero is mosdef in line but by the time he gets his shot it may very well be a year or so from now, which is perfect as it allows Valero to establish himself and build the fight up.

Arum will do it. He did it with Cotto and Margarito, soon to be JuanMa and Gamboa, and countless others.

Bradley said he is willing to travel to face valero and also there are some top 140lbs willing to do the same thing.
