Mayweather's power is underrated. Power can be neutralized but speed, timing and accuracy is a even more dangerous weapon. Cotto may be a bigger puncher than Floyd but not nearly as quick, accurate or smart which makes Floyd a much more dangerous fighter. Tap, tap, tap then out of no where you get hit with a punch you thought wasn't gonna have any power and you fine yourself in a very ****ed up situation.

Everyone likes to claim they don't watch tape but that's a lie. Even if they didn't, I'm pretty sure they've seen enough Mosley fights to know what he's about. And I'm sure Roger knows the serious task he has in front of him. He's always claimed Shane would be Floyd's toughest challenge and now they've got it.

There is a possibility that Team PBF has seen Shane fight enough to know him and not looking at the way a fighter fights is a good way to not get caught up in a game plan but Roger knows boxing very well. He definitely has studied the greats.

Accurate but he loops them a bit for power which a quick fighter can see. Mayweather's is straighter, quicker and far more unpredictable which is a lot more dangerous. The punch that get's there first is the more dangerous which is the reason Cotto never wanted to fight Floyd.

Yes, which is why he's quick to tout fighters from Michigan which has bred some great, great fighters. Floyd has patterned himself after them with his mix of old-school and new in the ring. Roger and Floyd Sr. were his teachers.

well, floyd retired so cotto never got to fight floyd.

the chance of getting KOed by floyd is lower than the chance to get KOed by cotto. just look at their common opponents. I think cotto stopped most of them, although I think most of those opponents would say floyd is the better boxer.

I doubt roger studied the greats. I think roger is going off his own experience more than watching other fighters fight.

that said, floyd already knows that mosley can be beaten with a good jab. floyd even said that sometimes mosley gets tired. look for floyd to jab a lot and also look for when mosley tries to clinch... I suspect that's when floyd will do some work.



roger is a trainer not a historian.

Boxing is the Mayweather clan's life. Roger knows and has studied all the greats up til this day. They showed a small bit of his boxing knowledge on a 24/7 episode in preparation for the Marquez fight. Roger might not look like a historian but boxing is his life and dude knows boxing very well. I was a Black Mamba fan so I know Roger is a serious boxing mind. Don't let the ****** fool you. Eddie Futch who taught Freddie Roach everything he knows wasn't the most articulate dude on the block either but he was a mentor to Freddie and many more great champions.

Guess will never know being the fact they never fought.But I can't agree Cotto is a strong puncher.Mayweather is a great boxer.they are both dangerous and imo marga would have giving mayweather fit's.
