For those who think Pavlik should get rid of Jack Lowe

What do you base this opinion on? Is it 1 loss to B-hop?

Does anyone honestly think that if Pavlik was trained by anyone else that he would have beaten a surprisingly sharp and fast B-hop that night?

At MW the guy is unbeaten and has stopped all but 4 opponents in 36 fights.

Doubling the fakkin jab is good advice for him always, he is a tall guy with power and wants to beat opponents back, inflict damage, and set up the right hand.

Pavlik works with what he has, and yeah with Sergio he needs to not only take his corners advice and double the jab but double the double jab followed by a right hand and I know this is the 1st day of school but maybe throw a left hook behind that right hand should the opportunity arise.

Could you imagine if Pavlik changed trainers after this fight him being nearly 40 pro fights into his career?

What if he was trained by Floyd Sr. and he tried to turn him into a counter punching slickster?

My point is that he and Jack seem to have a good working relationship, and Jack utilizes what Kelly has in terms of talent and ability to the best of what it can be in my view even if the game plan is a simple one.

There game plan has failed once out of 37 times and that isn't too bad, so its not broke no need to fix it.

It doesn't matter because thats not what happened, he came off the canvas and stopped Jermain so I don't see your point.

There is nothing more that can be done with the guy and if anyone tried to change him now it would go badly I think.

yea, i agree. no matter who trains pavlik he just doesnt have the tools to be anything more than he is now. its not like he has athletic gifts to be polished by some great trainer. hes a tall and gangly guy with flat feet. but good handspeed and power and is tough as nails.

Jack lowe knows Pavlik very well. He knows what to say and when to say it. He has trained Pavlik since he was 9. Lowe and Pavlik obviously can communicate with one another. I don't think Kelly should change trainers. And from what I have heard Pavlik does not want to either.

I disagree. I think Manny Steward is overrated but give him a tall long guy and he can make wonders of him. He would put brakes on Pavlik and make him more cautious. He would make him keep the jab out and make guys come to Pavlik where he then crushes them with the right. Pavlik chased Hopkins all night like a fool. Steward wouldve made Hopkins come to Pavlik. Thats why Jack is an idiot. Say what you want and maybe Hopkins still wouldve won but that game plan ******. Also trust me when I tell you that Im not a high profile type guy. I think Taylor shouldve stayed with the trainer that had him unbeaten. However, Zab shouldve left his trainer a long time ago

Pavlik cautious is a bad move, the commodity he has is the ability to hurt his opponents with his consistent pressure and power punches, him being cautious and trying to counter like Wlad is going to get him a few UD losses.....he just doesn't have the speed to be a counter puncher.

Who makes Hopkins come to them? He engages when he wants to, if coming after him was such a bad idea explain why Calzaghe has a win over B-hop?

The problem was just that he is too slow in addition to not being a LHW also Pavlik is used to being the bigger man bully opponents.

In Pavlik's weightclass he is 36-0, its all about results and no one can argue with that.
