It's a good win for Floyd, but not anything jaw dropping.

The 24/7 show did a hell of a job convincing people Hatton had this big chance. Hatton has a pressure style, but it's not too smart. He smothers you, but there's no combination punching nor does he keep his distance. People always make mention of the infamous "Check Hook" from Floyd that dropped Hatton, but go back and watch the fight again...it landed more than several times throughout the fight.

I give credit to any fighter for stepping in there and fighting and winning, but Hatton to me was never a threat to Floyd or any top tier WW for that matter.

      It was #1 P4P vs. #8 P4P. A good KO for Floyd.
yeah but that was in 2007..... Floyd needs to prove himself now against mosely...

He was definitely in the best shape of his life; so was judah (just for the record). He didn't do the same crap that he used to do, he actually started training camp way earlier than he usually did and wasn't in the pub and eating all that crap he usually ate. It was good win for Mayweather. This whole weight issue is not as much a big deal for me because like someone said earlier Hatton almost always came to the ring at about 154 on fight night.

So now Mr boat buyer has to beat an ATG to receive credit? Hatton was the number 1 guy at 140, he moved up and got beat by the better fighter. Gomez was the number one guy at 122, he moved up and got beat by the better fighter. Hatton was a good win for the boat buyer.

i think the US government should clear out the state of colorado and we can put up a huge 50 foot prison fence and all the *******s can go there and talk about pacquiao....not boxing. Hatton was a shot fighter when pac fought him. May softened him up. And yeah pac knocked him out in 2 rounds cause thats his ****in style. Anyone who thought mayweather had a tough time with hatton simply didnt watch the fight. I musta watched that **** 40 times on dvr. that was easy work for mayweather...easssssy work

                    A lot? Not really.

                    But he does deserve credit.

Hatton was exposed to be too open, which we all knew.

His weight thing was **** for his boxing life.

Mayweather was always the favourite, having said that, it ws a good win. Hatton gave the best he could, but Floyd was too accurate and fast.

Good fight to watch. Good win. Not a great win.

Hatton only had one fight at 147 prior to fighting Mayweather and it was against Collazo, a fight many feel he lost.

So no, Floyd gets no credit for beating Hatton given the grand scheme of things.
