Floyd deserves a lot of credit for the Hatton win

Just watched the fight again and Hatton looked really prime that night. He gave Mayweather his all and forced Floyd to dig in and show a different facet of his fight game. Hatton looked really strong at 147 because he didn't have to drain those last pounds to get to junior welter. He added power with those pounds.

    It was #1 P4P vs. #8 P4P. A good KO for Floyd.

Partial credit. Ricky hatton was the man at 140 not 147. Floyd picking on a smaller guy and blow him up to 147.

But! Pbf still would have beaten hatton at 140. So that's partial credit

Floyd beat him up so bad that he hired Floyd's daddy afterward.

Thats not really true even at 140 Hatton would walk into the ring at 154, which is the same weight that Hatton walked in for his fight with Floyd. Hatton also had a belt at ww as well after beating Collazo. I give Floyd some credit but I really dont rate Hatton that much.

yea, but he was the second to do it. floyd had already shown the world it can be done. i also question how well hatton felt in his 30's going back down to junior welter. i know he was champ but he was buckled at 140 vs. lazcano in his next fight, but he did look good vs. an overmatched malignaggi.

Either way, I think both Floyd and Pac's wins over Hatton are top notch. Stay retired Ricky.

Agreed 100%. People don't give Hatton credit for pressuring Mayweather as well as he did and I was very impressed with Mayweather never losing his composure.

Give credit to FLoyd ??!! damn you smoked good weed today, nobody will ever give Floyd any credit. You know whats the funniest part, before the fight I said that Floyd would tko Hatton, damn you should have seen the number of insults I've received... People were saying I was a total idiot. People forget how Hatton was seen as an invincible killer at that time. People always forget. And I give credit to Pacquiao for his win too, but in all honesty if you can't see that Hatton was done after his fight against Floyd you shouldn't watch boxing. Hatton cried two weeks after his fight against Floyd and didn't even watch de fight.
