You obviously haven't heard of Bill Gates, or Rockefeller, or Carnegie, and there are literally tens of thousands of less famous but similar examples. And it's not a case of not wanting to make more money, it's a case of money not being the most important thing to someone. Anyone who thinks money is the most important thing in life is to be pitied,Comment

he is refering to the 25mil regardless of ppv sales. the 35mil or greater refers to the % of ppv sales they would receive. i would believe floyd because he is in the industry and is speaking from experiance.Funny how Mayweather seems to know what everyone else is making... how does he get this info???? I hear the Mayweathers talking bout how Pac walked away from 25 million one day, then the next day it's 35 million then a couple days later "oh how u think pacquiao gonna walk away from 100 million dollars over a drug test". Man the Mayweather's have no shame.... they talk so much BS and the funny thing is, idiots beleive em.Comment

Anyone has a right to think that rejecting however amount of money he would have made with Mayweather, to turn around and make only a couple mills with Clottey is extremely shady.Comment

****** post. Come on Burner. Shane admitted it, why the hell would anyone who isn't just a bitter, hating little **** carry on with it? He made a mistake, he moved on, and so should everyone else.
So I stole some candy from the store when I was a kid. Does that make me an evil, dangerous criminal as an adult? FFS. Move on. It's a shame Floyd can't.

Its trash talking man.Comment

Wrong. Both the cream and the clear was considered doping.shane was taking "the cream", which isnt anabolic like "the clear"(thg) was.
they were not illegal at the time,(still unknow to the world) as far as a rule or law was considered back then. how many testosterone based supplements never worked either back then or even today? of course anabolic steroids do. now the cream is illegal and understandably so, once the origin and information of its affects are now known.
however, i do find it strange pacman who has 27 tattoos is afraid of needles and a blood test for 25 million dollars. that to me does not make sense.
i dont blame floyd for wanting to clean up the sport without unfair and unsafe advantages in the ring. however, talking about shanes use 9 years ago keeps emphasis on ped's in boxing and completly contradicts what he is trying to do.Comment

Where is your evidence that he's only getting a couple of million? And lol at the word "only" in any case! Most fighters never make even that much in a single fight.
Did you think it was shady when he pulled out of the De La Hoya and Hatton fights because he was unhappy with the contracts? Or when he threatened to pull out of the Cotto fight? In all three cases, if the other fighter hadn't backed down, Pacquiao would have ended up taking a lower paid fight on a matter of principle. If it's shady this time then it was shady in those three fights as well. He's always put his principles before short term finances. This isn't the first time he's done it. It's just the first time that the other fighter didn't back down. (Or the second time, if you count the aborted Marquez rematch in 2004).Last edited by Dave Rado; 03-05-2010, 09:40 AM.Comment

Case in point, the biggest money fight out there is Mayweather/Pacquiao.Where is your evidence that he's only getting a couple of million? And lol at the word "only" in any case! Most fighters never make even that much in a single fight.

Yes compared to however amount of money he would have made with Mayweather, he's only making a couple million with Clottey.Comment
