    Hasegawa vs. Montiel

I'm reading this fight is official for april 30th.

Any Hasegawa fans think he can take Montiel? Should be a great matchup, I'm a fan of both guys.

    My two favourite Bantams.

Hasegawa has all the tools to defeat a game Montiel. If held in Japan, you would be silly to favour against Hasegawa, but the Mexican can't be ruled out....he's faced the better competition and his experience may be a factor.

Yeah, I think I'd pick Hasegawa at home, but Montiel is no joke. Montiel fell a little short of what I expected of him, but I think he has a shot against anyone.

Isn't Montiel getting old, seems like he's been around forever? I would favor Hasegawa either way.

Can't find a good copy of Montiel's last fight, here he is against Martin Castillo

Here is Hasegawa against Nestor Rocha

Both of these guys are top shelf fighters, not far from p4p status.

According to Joe Koizumi its on.

Teiken Promotions has acknowledged the contract of Fernando Montiel (40-2-2, 30 KOs) duly signed by himself and his exclusive promoter Fernando Beltran on Tuesday. WBO bantam champ Montiel is scheduled to square off against WBC titlist Hozumi Hasegawa (28-2, 12 KOs) here in Tokyo, Japan, on April 30. It will be a very sensational confrontation of the world champions which our fight fans anticipate with great enthusiasm.

31 sounds old for a bantam, but he doesn't look like he is slipping to me. I think his body punching will be dangerous for Hasegawa.

Yeah, I read that it was a go on Koizumi's webiste, but Arum said it isn't.

Arum said a contract was sent to Montiel, but he's not signing it.
