Toney's likely opponents plus my thoughts on Toney's chances

(Note: Forget the top guys no way that gets sanctioned

    1. Patrick "HD" Barry (4-1 MMA, 18-6 K1)-Kickboxer and Sanshou fighter recently KO'd Antoni Hardonk

    2. Gilbert Yvel (36-14 MMA, 1-1 K1)-Kickboxer and Jiu Jitsu Fighter

    3. Kimbo Slice (4-1 MMA)-Holds Submission victory over Ray Mercer

    Toney's chances:
He's either gonna get kicked to death, choked out or a limb broken.

      1. No way that gets sanctioned

How that fight would go down:

      Leg Kicks

      Take down

      Side control

      Kimura

      Fight over

yeah i almost forgot that but that would be a good matchup eventually but if james toney had the work ethic of walker he would have retired a champion in boxing already

I'm curious to see if he will be fighting at LHW or HW.

I don't see him doing very well, anyone who fights him who isn't a complete moron or a can (which the UFC doesn't have very many of) will likely beat him pretty handily.

From what I've seen and heard, Toney doesn't seem to fully grasp exactly what he's getting into.

I really wish James would of stayed boxing. Not only is he going to be making a small percentage of what he makes in boxing(which isn't that much to begin with), but he is also too damn old to be learning a new fighting style. He should of just continued to box and rack up more W's to his already hall of fame career.

He could beat Kimbo for sure, that guy has no ground game and is all stand up.

It would basically be a boxing match with the UFC gloves.

Kimbo isn't completely one dimensional. He is training at ATT alongside his brother, Rhadi, who is a very accomplished Judoka, and he displayed a bit of that in his last fight.

But I doubt the UFC gives Toney the luxury of a push-over for his first fight.
