I dont see nothing wrong with it. Its boxing. Hit and dont get hit. That is the name of the game
I dont get it? What is wrong with ‘running’?

Honestly I think a lot of it has to do with the society we live in now.
We live in an instant gratification era where everything is almost immediate and on demand. We live for instant satisfaction and when we do not get it are dissatisfied with the product and either move on or complain about it
now what does this have to do with boxing?
everything really because first and foremost while this is indeed a sport its a spectator sport where the audience is key
couple that with the fact that now most people want their action at a sustain pace and you can see how todays society turns a blind eye to true boxing while slugfests get the immediate thumbs up.
add to that most casual fans fall into this factor and you have a fanbase that is essentially short memoried and impatient
thats why I think things like MMA and Poker took of so quickly. In poker the hands are fast, especially NLHE, but the reward are huge so people gravitated to it in droves
same with MMA, shorter fights, stacked cards and alot of fluff mixed in with the actual product and it hit a vein that was very in tune with todays outlookComment

quite honestly the smartest thing any person could have said on this thread......the onus is on the opponent to cut the ring off and apply intelligent pressure.......it's not FMJ fault if his opponent is not good enough or smart enough to make him have to engage on their terms.......Comment
