Because regardless of age Shane looked better in his last outing than he has in years. Also nobody besides possibly Manny possesses the experience + k.o power tools be in the ring with Floyd.
I also think the fight was too close to brag about.

Don't get me wrong I like the fight and I'm happy Floyd is stepping up his game but it looks like a double standard the credit his getting.

Cotto got credit for it. That was a huge fight back then.

        This thread is dumb.

Mosley should be getting credit for fighting Cotto, not Cotto credit for fighting mosley.

Because Cotto was the risky prospect when they fought. Mosley had nothing to prove and everything to lose (Just like with Winky and with Forrest)

Floyd didn't fight cotto, Mosley did. Credit should be to Mosley, not cotto. TS needs to reformat this post IMO.

Am sure any credit Mayweather gets for fighting Mosley would be taken away the moment the fight finish.

Cotto fighting Mosley is just another boxing match. Mayweather fighting Mosley is like Mayweather trying to make it seems like a death. Mayweather is that scare of fighting a real welterweight opponent that it's such a big thing to him if he fight one.

wait a minute. WHAT IS COTTOS GREATEST WIN? clottey? judah? nah. it's MOSLEY.

so you mean to tell me that mosley is recognized as being the greatest win of cotto's ENTIRE career but he gets no credit for mosley? ****ing MORONS.

the mosley and PRIME cotto fight was as close as nails. if mayweather fights a close fight with mosley he will not get credit. but if he dominates mosley which prime cotto could not do, he should be awarded with all of the credit he deserves.

Because Floyd fans are fucking idiots.. and Mayweather hasn't fought anyone worth a squat in the longest so fighting someone in the top 5 is a miracle.
Like Rocky! said.. that's how bad Floyd's rep has fallen.. he is on ***** status.
